Interpretative poetry reading: “Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa”

At emanila, we join the Filipino nation in commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of the Philippine hero, Andres Bonifacio.

Our website, The Filipino Australian, has also joined the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney and a group of Sydney-based artists, community leaders and radio broadcasters to celebrate ~ through a radio festival and screening of the film “Paglilitis ni Bonifacio” ~ the life and works of the Father of Philippine Revolution.

Bonifacio’s patriotic poem “Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa” is one of the featured works.

There are also voice recordings (podcasts) and an interpretation of the testimonies of the Katipuneros who were witnesses during Bonifacio’s trial by a military court which sentenced Bonifacio and his brother, Procopio, to execution.

Artistic director Dr Mars Cavestany provides the voice in this media.
