Dennis Espada is a freelance journalist and writer. His works were published in various newspapers, journals and magazines both print and online. He was former editor-in-chief of Gazette student publication and editor of Banaag Literary Journal, both of the University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna where he finished AB major in Communication Arts. He was recognized by the university for receiving awards in the field of campus journalism. In 2008, he won several prizes at the performance poetry slam dubbed "The Great Contender" sponsored by Ricco Renzo Galleries.
