The Departure
In my departure
I send through the air my kisses
And give
A description of the heavenly realm
It is blue
For it longs to be with you
It seeks
To be where the sun is overhead
Where the nightlight flickers
To the extended beat of your heart
And I look for your home
From the hole in the sky
Between the wind
And the untouchable stretch
But all I see
Is an endless sea of white
The tiny shapes
Of earthly structures disappear
Too soon
For me to recognize
The abode
That housed hose eyes
