Young as we

by phoebe180

Lyin’ awake on this empty little room
T’was daybreak but sky is dim
Forgotten memories draw soon
Of undying friendship, though it seem.

Looking back to the years
When the world was still on our side
Why did I had no time to confide
‘Til the day you suddenly went away

Nights and Days I’ve waited
Years had gone, you’re still wanted
Surprisingly one day you came back
But my life is now better

“Hello dear old friend of mine,
It doesn’t matter where you had been”,
I’m feeling elated, must I be dreaming but I’m shaking…
The moments our eyes met, I got tongue tied

Two different stranger
Once shared an unforgettable memory
The past, our yesterday, do you remember?
Those moments when our friendship was as young as we used to be.
