Violent Nature

by ed_roa

The eucalyptus sheds its blades by wayward breeze

Flashing daggers slashed at dragonflies hovering

A cow lows her protest on the holocaust of green

Echoing piteously the cry of the fallen nymphs

A maya rushed angrily atop the cruel ogre

Scolding, rebuking, chastising with wrathful eyes

Another day, another bloodbath unleashed

Tomorrow again, wreaking remorseless mayhem

Welcome the harshness of grey concrete and cold steel

More kindness there than in Flora’s petaline bed
