rockin’ me…

by manonton dalan

i’m lying on my back in my room
watching rocker from far east dune
i was told he could rock my bones
with same songs from old albums

flashing lights, booming drums
hissing strings to roar then moan
screaming crowds, crackling keys
opening heaven, flooding memories

rhythmic guitar searing blue sky
embers in me bursting into sigh
taking me back, picturing my past
i’m rocking, fever pitch, very fast

i reach my beer, pop to open
take big gulp, reach for maiden
he is giving me goose bumps
and slowly draining my swamps

a good rock could give me rush
like riding roller coaster, smash
…. i assemble all these words
while i’m listening to arnel pineda.
i’m playing with words like you tapping
your fingers.. if you have time watch it.
“wheel in the sky”
