does it always have to end
with those simple words?
those words that we all dread
after a long and fruitful relationship.
why does it have to end with
goodbye’s?
why does it have to end with
our eyes locking with one
another and just gazing
into the infinite depths of our souls?
why, why, why?
why can’t we just say what we truly want
to hear?
