Safe between my hands, frightened to loosen my grip

by Aubrey Bahala

Kindly rest your arms around me before this wonderful day ends.
In silence, we wish to make this moment go on for quite some time.
Move closer to me and feel how my heart rejoices whenever you’re near.

Vagabond we are, unsure of so many things and uncertain of the present,
A shift towards something real, and something sweet, and something blissful.
Remember that no matter who we would become, we shall hold each other:
Grasping what the world has offered and what our hearts have dictated.
Amidst the sea of faces and the screams of peers and the whispers of the ordinary people
Spontaneous actions caused by you are what catches my attention and what makes my     heart leap a thousand times than the usual.
