The Air I Breath- a movie review
Watching “The Air I Breath” really needs a deep breath. It’s not about how we deal to live or to die. Things changes because everything end up to changing. It’s all about- happiness (craving and chasing for it!), pleasure (seeing the future but seems not), sorrow (you have to fight for it), love (the greatest and noblest feeling of all). And anger will change them everything.
“I love butterflies…” -Happiness after he bet his career and life to horse racing.
“Sometimes, risking everything is the only option you have…”-Pleasure after he gave everything to Happiness.
“Scars are the pathway to our soul…”-Trista, Sorrow while kissing the wound of Happiness.
“I need you…”- Love to Sorrow as saving her from death.
“A drama based on an ancient Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones: happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love. A businessman (Whitaker) bets his life on a horse race; a gangster (Fraser) sees the future; a pop star (Gellar) falls prey to a crime boss (Garcia); a doctor (Bacon) must save the love of his life.
Forever linked together by ruthless crime boss Fingers (Andy Garcia) and a series of unpredictable twists of fate, the characters of THE AIR I BREATHE weave together in an existential study in luck, both the good and bad. Director Jieho Lee divides this vast tale into four threads. ” Excerpted from The Internet Movie Database.
