RANDOM THOUGHTS
101 Waves of Pain and Fear
Aubrey Bahala

She is gasping for air.
She is so close to dying.
Lips of hers slowly turning violet,
She is crying.

Her skin reflects the color of snow.
Eyesockets begin to freeze.
As her voice screams for help,
She can't anymore bear the pain.

Seawater floods her lungs.
An Icarus who fell face first
On a water of regrets,
Flood her empty soul.

Stares that tell a million secrets
Cursing this day in the cold water
Of betrayal, of deception.
Humiliation shall soon take over.

He heard her cry,
Yet he ignored her screams.
He pretended not to hear.
He just closed his eyes,
As she drowns in tears.
