Tagapagligtas nang buhay sa gabi, kilabot ng mga isda sa umaga, isang bobong makata sa malayang oras, isip-batang ama nang dalawampu't tatlong gulang na mama, dalawampu't isang taong gulang na ale at labing-isang taong gulang na paslit. Pilit na nakikisalamuha sa mga taong nagwiwika nang binaboy na ingles.

I left the Philippines 15 years ago but the Philippines never left me and I know that she will stay in my heart forever. Writing is my feeble attempt of apology for her anguish and agony of being abandoned by her children in search of economic freedom she cannot offer".
